About

Our daughter was born in early October – our first child. We’d been married for about 2 years, I’m in my mid-30’s, we were “ready” for this. She was born and she was spectacular – this tiny little ball of wonderful, everything that any parent could want. Sooooooooo what do we do now??? Well, we figured it out as we went along.

My job provides 2 weeks of parental leave, after which I painstakingly returned to work. For the following 8 weeks I was never fully there or at home, not really doing either as well as I would’ve liked. Now, as my wife heads back to work, I am taking advantage of my years of saved up leave – for the next 74 days I will be home on paternity leave…so, once again, what do I do now???
